SHOP THE LOOK: LAVENDER DREAMS
If you were a little wary of purple eye makeup—#tbh it can look like a bad 80’s hangover—MyGlamm’s Global Makeup Director, Daniel Bauer, is here to change your mind. Using Manish Malhotra Haute Couture Makeup, the celebrity favourite makeup artist, creates a soft and pretty look that’s still eye-catching.
“It’s a day look, transforming into a night look, it’s in-between,” Bauer describes.
Step 1:
To start, add a little glow to your base. Dot and blend a creamy highlighter on your cheekbones to give the look a radiant, fresh feel.
#ProHack: Use your fingers to blend the highlighter so that it melds seamlessly with your foundation.
Step 2:
On the lids, apply a metallic brown, layered with a metallic purple eyeshadow. Apply the shadows with a wet brush to really make the pigments pop.
Step 3:
Brighten the inner corners of your eyes with a little bit of champagne. Blend it upwards into the brown shadow in your crease.
Step 4:
Using the same champagne shadow, on the edge of a flat brush, and stamp it along the edge of your upper lash line, creating a faux eyeliner effect.
Step 5:
To define the lower lash line, softly brush on a matte taupe shadow from the outer corners, blending gently in with the champagne shadow in the inner corners.
Step 6:
On the lips Bauer used English Rose from Manish Malhotra Haute Couture Makeup, because “it gives you a pinkish cool undertone, and just the right amount of intensity for this look.
Step 7:
Add the finishing touch with a tiny bit gold lipgloss in the centre to give it a dose of glam.
