Start by buffing the top layer of your nail paint with an emery board. This allows the acetone to penetrate through the rest of the dip nail, making it easier to remove. Just move the board side to side, till the top glossy coat of each nail looks all white and powdery.

Step 2 - Clip Away

Nails grown too long? Then it’s time to clip away. Using a pair of nail clippers, start cutting the length of your talons. Remember, this would only work if your nails are really long –– if you just want a slight trim, then it’s best to file them instead of chopping them off. Use your nail file or emery board to soften the edges and shape your nails a little.

Step 3 - Wrap With Foil

Instead of rubbing the acetone on your fingers and nails, pour it into a small bowl and dip cotton balls into it –– 10 cotton balls, one for each finger. Once they are completely soaked, place the cotton balls on your nails and wrap each finger with a small piece of foil. This will dissolve the powder effectively.
