Beat The Heat
Here’s what you need to do to beat the October heat!
The rains bid us adieu, and now we are left with the scorching ‘October heat’. To beat this heat, we give you some valuable hair and skin care tips that’ll help you stay fresh throughout.
Keep your skin moisturized: A sunscreen is a must to apply in the terrible October heat. Choose a sunscreen that suits your skin and don’t forget that your skin needs constant toning, cleansing and moisturizing.
Change the way your hair looks: The October heat will bring with it problems like frizzy and brittle hair. An easy home remedy to treat dry, brittle hair is to use butter for a glossy shine. Massage it into your dry hair, then cover your hair with a shower cap for about half an hour. Shampoo as usual, and rinse all the butter out.
Reduce sweaty feet problems: Sweaty feet becomes a major problem for most of us in hot weather. But here’s a trick. Mix two cups of Epsom salt into a tub or bucket half-full with warm water. Soak your feet for 15 minutes twice a day. The Epsom salt acts as an astringent to reduce sweating, and may kill bacteria.
Maintain the length of your nails: For all those who complain of their slow nails growth, here’s a fun fact. Did you know that warmer weather calls for quicker nail growth? Yes, therefore, maintain the length of your nails. Trim and shape them while you’re surrounded by the scorching October heat without worrying about its slow growth.
