7 Outlandish Celebrity Hairstyles That Made Us Wonder 'What Were They Thinking?'

worst-celebrity-hairstyles.png

Before the age of *Instagram and Snapchat*, we all relied on newspapers to catch the latest celebrity gossip and updates. Especially the page 3 column, which was our daily dose of 'who's dating who or who's wearing what'.

Another reason why most of us even picked the newspaper was to check out the latest celebrity looks. And you gotta admit, we have come a long way from those *brown lipliners and copper hair colour* phase.

PS: Time to go down the memory lane with some of the funniest (and weird) hairstyles that celebrities have dared to sport over the years.

Celebrities Who Donned Seriously WTF Haircuts

Because we are not celebrities, we do not have paparazzi capturing our every move. So even if we did have a bad hairstyle, we do not have it 'saved' n the internet archives for us to search from.

Sadly, that's not the case for celebs. Here are some of the *what were they thinking* hairstyle that keeps us awake at night.

Sonam Kapoor

Remember when we used to say *chidhiya ka ghosla* to bad hairstyles? Well, Sonam decided that it might be a good idea to sport something similar. While we get that her hairstylist wanted the focus to be on her face but honestly, the makeup here is equally bad.

Sorry Sonam, we are usually HUGE fans of your hairdos but this one is a little bleh.

Ameesha Patel

There was a time when Ameesha Patel (and many other B-Town actresses) were obsessed with copper coloured hair. As much as this colour looks really good on Indian skin tones, this is nothing but a disaster.

If the colour was a little less vibrant and shorter, perhaps it wouldn't made it to best celeb hairstyles list!

Natalie Dormer

I got introduced to the uber-talented Natalie Dormer when she played Sherlock Holmes' love interest in Elementary. As usual, I opened my phone to google her and most of the pictures that came up were this *cringe* haircut. Half-shaved hair with wavey hair on the other side--not sure if it's daring or just weird?

PS: How much time did it take you to grow your hair back properly, Natalie?

Bipasha Basu

No doubt that Bipasha has one of the most gorgeous hair that we've ever seen but there was a time when she loved experimenting with various hairdos (remember what she sported that bob?). As much as we love stalking her Instagram for hair inspo, there was a time when Bips had bangs and err, we're not sure we loved them on her.

Miley Cyrus

Imagine this--you just woke up from a nap and all your hair is standing up due to static energy. You decide to keep it that way by using a stronghold hairspray, put on some makeup and hit the red carpet--that's what we think Miley did here.

We get that she was going for that punk rock vibe here but honestly, we aren't feeling any (positive) vibes from it. Only hoping to never see this hairdo, ever again.

Rani Mukherjee

Rani, Rani, Rani. What were you even thinking?!

Rani wore this 'bangs wali wig' in Ta Ra Rum Pum and the whole nation was divided. While some people were liking this hairstyle on her, others (including me) were like, "Why?"

What's your take on this? Are you a fan of this hairdo or pass?

Aishwarya Rai

Aishwarya Rai is the queen of hits and misses when it comes to beauty looks. Every year at Cannes, reporters from all over the world wait patiently to see which look will she flaunt.

While there's no denying that she is indeed one of the most gorgeous women we've ever seen, her hairstyles always leave us puzzled. Like for instance, this hairdo that she 'bravely' tried on the Cannes red carpet in 2010. I mean, whaaat. A Puff or larger than life curls--choose one hairstyle Aish as this just looks like khichdi!
