Facing Hair Fall Issues? The Best Ayurveda Shampoos To Invest In!

download_3.png

As someone who likes experimenting with hair products, I can tell you that the market has a lot offer these days. What's scary is that almost every commercial shampoo bottle I pick up today is loaded with harsh ingredients like sulfates, parabens, silicones and fragrances. If you continue to use them, they will eventually strip your hair of its natural oils. My suggestion to you would be to take a break from these shampoos and either try the no-poo method or opt for ayurvedic shampoos. If you picked the latter, then you must get yourself familiar with the term 'Ayurveda'.

Since ancient times, our culture has focused on using ayurvedic treatments for hair and skin, and many health ailments too. The next time you're at a beauty store, keep an eye out for natural ingredients like Bhringraj, Amla, Reetha, Shikakai, Methi, Haritaki and Bibhitaki. If you choose the ayurvedic route, you'll notice that with time, it starts to become a way of life. Since Ayurveda ingredients are packed with vitamins, antioxidants and carotene, they'll do an amazing job at keeping your locks nourished, glossy and bouncy.

12 Amazing Ayurvedic Shampoos To Treat Hair Fall

Remember, all good things take time. Don't get discouraged if you don't see instant results. Take care of your mane by cleansing it with a good shampoo. As you know, it takes two hands to clap, right? Your diet is your second hand. As long as your using any of the best ayurvedic shampoos for hair fall mentioned below and filling your plate with a bunch of foodstuffs like protein, vitamins, zinc, magnesium, iron and selenium, the texture of your hair is bound to improve. Let's check our list of rockstars, shall we?

Your mane will love it too because it's made from a blend of ayurvedic herbs like turmeric and ginseng. You'll be thrilled to know that it's safe for colour-treated hair and does an amazing job at cleansing and exfoliating your scalp. As per online reviews, some ladies even said that it helped reduce dryness and hair fall within the first week. Guess, you will have to try it to believe it! Apply a tiny amount of product on wet hair and focus on cleansing your scalp. Follow it up with conditioner.

Pros: Hair will feel sleek and soft instantly after use.

Cons: Expensive product for the masses.

Khadi Natural Ayurvedic Shikakai Honey Hair Cleanser

The packaging of this ayurvedic cleanser product is simple, but it's the ingredients that really matter. It's got Brahmi, Bhringraj, Shikakai, honey and green tea extract. Shikakai will provide your locks with vitamins C, A, E and K to fight hair fall. The micronutrients in Shikakai will also boost hair growth and provide nourishment to your scalp.

Kama Ayurveda Rose And Jasmine Hair Cleanser

I've used this cleanser before and it has worked wonders for my locks! Free of parabens, petrochemicals and sulphates, this baby is a mild shampoo that cleanses hair without stripping it of its natural oils. I like the fact that it has vegetable sourced soy protein! Thanks to this amazing ayurvedic cleanser, my hair has gotten smoother and stronger. It's also packed with aloe vera juice and hibiscus extract that's great for hair fall problems and to add nourishment. You've gotta try it to believe it.

Forest Essentials Hair Cleanser

This one costs a little more than the other shampoos, but let me tell you that it's worth every penny. Not only does the packaging scream LUXE, but the shampoo is formulated with some pretty fine ayurvedic ingredients-- Reetha, Haritaki, Nilini, Amla, coconut oil and herbal infusions. If your hair lacks Vitamin C, you need amla to strengthen your locks. Honey and Mulethi will make sure that your locks stay soft, smooth and manageable.

Pros: Contains vitamin C and has a sweet mild scent to it.

Cons: Expensive product for the masses.

Clinic Plus Ayurveda Care Triphala Shampoo

This Ayurveda shampoo is not the one to burn a hole in your pocket. For the quality and quantity, it's such a great buy! It claims to make your hair stronger and reduce hairfall. Three of its main ingredients include Amla, Haritaki and Bibhitaki. While it improves the texture of your hair, it also leaves a pleasant mild scent post the hair wash.

Pros: Affordable and effective.

Cons: May not be ideal for severely dry and damaged hair.

Lotus Herbals Kera Veda Shikakai-Amla Herbal Shampoo

This herbal shampoo for hair growth is great for all hair types. The Amla and Shikakai, ingredients in the shampoo do a fantastic job at making your hair smooth, silky and manageable. When applying the product to your locks, always remember that less is more. Apply to your wet hair and use your fingers to detangle the knots. This will help to spread the shampoo evenly. More than your locks, you must focus on your scalp. A clean and healthy scalp ensures good hair growth.

Pros: Great for all hair types, mild and gentle on the scalp.

Cons: Can dry hair out if too much product is used.

Auravedic Hair Fall Control Shampoo

One of the reasons why I would pick up this shampoo is because of its sleek packaging that's perfect for when you're travelling. It boasts of having power-packed ingredients such as Brahmi, Shikakai, Amla and Bhringraj. Apart from reducing hair fall, it improves hair texture and strengthens the roots. It's even free of parabens and sulphates.

Pros: Improves hair texture and makes roots stronger.

Cons: Not available in local markets.

Just Herbs Silky Strength Aloevera Wheatgerm Moisturising Shampoo

Another shampoo I'm tempted to purchase is this one. The tiny pump at the top ensures that you don't use more product than you should. The shampoo claims to stop hair fall, reduce dryness and repair damaged hair. If you're dealing with dandruff, you need to shampoo to heal, cleanse and cure an infected scalp and the Just Herbs shampoo claims to take care of all of this. Apply on wet hair and work up to lather. Use the product thrice a week to experience positive results.

Pros: Deals with hair fall and dandruff as well.

Cons: Not available at local markets.

TRESemme Detox and Restore Shampoo

If your hair cuticles are damaged and weak, you should invest in this shampoo! For the price and quality, it's worth every penny. It contains no dyes or chemicals and is in fact, loaded with ginseng and neem. Especially designed to treat Indian hair, I bet that once you start using this shampoo, you will be hooked on for life.

Pros: Good quality and quantity for the price, contains no dyes or chemicals.

Cons: Using too much product can cause your hair to dry out.

Pratha Naturals Shampoo Bar

I don't know what you think, but for me, shampoo bars are the future! They're eco-friendly, handmade and natural. Do not be fooled by the size, it'll last you long. The Pratha shampoo bar comes packed with Amla, Reetha, Shikakai, Bhringraj, Hibiscus and coconut extracts in it. When washing your strands, form the shampoo lather on your hands first and then apply it to your strands and scalp. Keep the shampoo on for about 5 minutes and later wash it off with mild water. After drying your mane, you'll be happy to see how glossy and soft it looks in the mirror.

Pros: Environmental-friendly, affordable and effective.

Cons: Niche concept, difficult to find at local stores.

Lever Ayush Thick and Long Growth Shikakai Shampoo

Something about this shampoo's packaging that takes me back to my past. Around 25 years ago, there wasn't a variety of shampoos in the market. Our ancestors would often make their own products at home using herbs and ayurvedic ingredients. Amla, Bhringaraj and Shikakai were popular ingredients even in those days. I'm so glad to see them in this shampoo bottle too! If you aim for longer, stronger and fuller looking hair, this shampoo will make that dream of yours come true.

Pros: Makes hair stronger, glossier and smoother.

Cons: Takes time to show results.

WOW Skin Science Hair Loss Control Therapy Shampoo

I'm going to end the list by recommending this ayurvedic shampoo for hair loss. I've seen plenty of beauty bloggers on Youtube rave about this product. They claim it reduces hair fall, removes oil, makes your locks smell lovely and improves texture. Some even say that if you use this shampoo, you don't need to apply a conditioner!

Pros: Reduces hair fall, removes oil and improves hair texture.

Cons: Not available at local stores.
